Spend a day investigating one of the greatest archeological finds in the 19th Century where you will enjoy the warmth and charm of this walking town. Madaba is situated in central Jordan, about 30 minutes south of the capital city of Amman on the King's Highway. It is located near the Dead Sea (30 minutes), Mount Nebo (10 minutes), Queen Alia Intl. Airport (20 minutes), and the King Hussein Bridge to enter Jerusalem (40 minutes).
Visiting Hours
The mosaic is open every day of the year. On most days, visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Friday, the mosaic opens at 9:30 a.m. and on Sundays, the mosaic opens at 10:30 a.m. During the winter, the mosaic closes at 5:00 p.m. During holidays like Christmas and Easter, the mosaic opens immediately following the special services. Appointments are not necessary.
